Iowa (12-10) vs. Indiana (5-15)
5:35 PM CST on the Big Ten Network
Assembly Hall, Bloomington
The Setting:
Iowa won their first game against the Hoosiers this season, holding off a late Indiana surge to win 65-60 on January 3rd in Iowa City. Since then, Indiana has continued to have conference woes, going 0-8 overall. Iowa has been inconsistent with Cyrus Tate being out, although David Palmer and Jarryd Cole have each had a couple of nice games. Cole struggled to stay out of foul trouble in the loss to Illinois, and that hurt the Hawks down the stretch.
Last Week:
Iowa lost at the other Assembly Hall, in Champaign, 62-54, and lost at home to Michigan State 71-56.
Indiana dropped one at home to Ohio State, 93-81, and lost at Northwestern 77-75.
Game Notes:
Tate's absence is still the question mark of the week. Reports are that he's practicing this week, and possible for action against Indiana. While he is not the golden ticket, his presence has been obviously missed on the floor.
Interesting Facts:
Six of Iowa's last 12 meetings with the Hoosiers have been decided in the final seconds.
Former Iowa assistant coach (2006-2007) Tim Buckley is on the Indiana staff
Indiana homecoming for Hawks Jake Kelly, J.R. Angle, and the Lickliter family
