Tied 6-6 going into the top of the 8th inning, Iowa decided to score some runs. And by sum, I mean 10. Through the top of the 8th and 9th innings, Iowa scored 5 runs each, en rout to a 16-6 win over the last place Wildcats. It would have been more, had Iowa been able to convert on two bases loaded opportunities in the 4th and 7th innings, but Iowa didn't score any runs after double runs and strike outs.
None the less, Iowa is now 8-8 in the BigTen, and 19-15 overall, with 3 games left at Northwestern, a series at Purdue and Indiana, and a series at home against Michigan.
