The Hawkeyes rebounded from the Oklahoma State loss by beating Nebraska 30-5. Iowa wrestles Northwestern in a few minutes.
A few quick highlights from the Nebraska dual:
* Charlie Falck beat No. 11 Paul Donahoe 9-7 in overtime at 125. Falck scored a with 45 seconds remaining to go ahead 7-6, and opted to try riding Donahoe the rest of the way to erase a riding time advantage. But Falck was penalized for stalling with 20 seconds to go to tie the match. Falck managed to ride Donahoe the rest of regulation to force OT and he scored midway through the overtime period.
* Mario Galanakis pinned No. 17 Mike Rowe at 133. Galanakis was controlling the match most of the way, scoring a takedown in each period. He was leading 7-3 with 30 seconds remaining when Rowe tried sitting out and Galanakis sucked him back and adjusted for the fall with six seconds remaining.
* Alex Tsirtsis (141) and Ryan Morningstar (157) avenged losses from the Kaufman-Brand Open. Tsirtsis won a 4-3 decision against sixth-ranked Dominick Moyer and Morningstar beat Chris Oliver 4-0.
